We also help to determine traffic incidents from this and assist with the dispatching of teams for incident management for the SA National Roads Agency. Similar data is used by insurers to build better risk models and make their premiums more competitive.
Short range vehicle jamming crime is an increasing challenge and we are able to provide short range jamming hot spot information by looking at the signals from our entire base, as well as provide real-time notification to clients and inform our insurer clients whether short range jamming was active at the time of a claim. This has allowed some of our customers to turn this risk into an opportunity, enabling them to develop a product that specifically caters for vehicle contents theft claims. The data we provide also enables accident reconstruction, which assists incident investigators when it comes to accurately depicting what the circumstances around a particular accident were.
Finally, from our fleet management customers, we have seen a rising need to live-stream telemetry information to customers’ third parties, who specialise in deep learning and analysis on the data from the fleet. This has led us to develop a world class Internet of Everything (IOE) platform which serves almost 1 000 000 devices at transaction rates of more than 3 000 per second.
