Altron appoints James Hickman Sales Director

Johannesburg, 19 January 2023. JSE-listed technology company Altron has appointed James Hickman as Sales Director: Digital Transformation.

Hickman was formerly Executive Head of Sales, Solutioning, Marketing and Partnerships at Altron Karabina. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Qlik, and formerly held various positions at Microsoft South Africa.

Altron Group Chief Executive Werner Kapp said: “James will improve Altron’s client engagement model across our Digital Transformation (DT) business to ensure that we serve our clients better with the integrated solutions they require. In this role, he will bring together the unique strengths of our DT business for the benefit of our customers.”

As Sales Director, Hickman will be responsible for building long-term strategic client relationships as well as directing the combined sales teams of Altron System Integration, Altron Karabina, and Altron Managed Solutions.

Hickman holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science and has completed the Management Advancement Programme at Wits Business School.
